work, school....life
Yes, it's true. I am quitting Molly Maid in two months and a bit and heading off to Briercrest College. I am pretty excited. But am starting to feel like bible school is so expensive and I don't really want to go, just because of the costs. So, maybe I will not go unless God will exend a miracle my way and give me enough money to make it though two years of school.
So, that's some of the new exciting things in my life. There are some more things but I think I will leave it like this for now =)

The Old Lady in Undies
Yes, yes I know...it's been a while. And many exciting things have happened. I got a job, I am actually starting my swimming next week and thats about it so its not actually that exciting.
Trying to find my way to swimming lessons might prove interesting but that is not super exciting stuff to write about. So, this post will be about my new job...Molly Maid.
Most of you probably already know but since most have probably stopped reading this a month ago when I last posted...it is very likely that you know. That was confusing for me to so don't worry, it's not just you.
I started the Thursday before last. We clean an average of 5 houses a day and sometimes gets up to 7. Which is insane because cleaning one house every other week is enough cleaning for me. But whatever the case...this is what happens.
Today I had an interesting exprience, I am not sure if Ms.Smith as I will call her would like if I told the world this but whatever. She is a very cute old lady how swears more than my partner which is a lot. But that is not the point of the story. The point is that this 70 or 80 ish lady likes to walk around with her undies on while we clean. Not excatly what you expect for a lady that age.
So, that was a pretty boring story but I thought I would share it anyway...

This and That
So, the past few weeks have been interesting to say the least. I got home from Nicaragua on the 3rd. Didn't miss a flight or lose baggage but it was a close call on both accounts. Two days later was Mom's birthday, 48...she's almost old. Just kidding Mom!
I have been in the city for a couple of days now. Just hanging out with the sisters and my almost brother =)
I got signed up for swimming lessons at the U of M today. Tomorrow or the next day I will go in search of a job. But considering my past, odds are I will procrastinate a couple more days.
I have pretty much decided that I will go to Bible school next fall. That is if I don't procrastinate getting my applications in. I am pretty excited about that...if only I knew which one to go to! To many options I tell you. Any recommendations anyone??
The girls and staff at CINAG are having a hard time as of late and it would be awesome if you could send a little prayer God's way. I won't go into to many details but the girls are being a bit rebellious. And also several are being sent either back to their parents or other centers.
Since I have SO much to do tomorrow I think I will shut her down and get some shuteye.
¡buenas noches!

The Girls
i havent written much about the girls at the orphanage so Ill tell you a bit about them.
The oldest is Jhara, she is 17 and very stubborn and thinks everything should be her way or no way.
Norma is a sly little girl who likes to make public statements of her discontent by taking a shovel to the gaurds head.
Ingrid is a very very very spunky girl. The word is weird but it fits her perfectly.
Andrea is quiet a little shy but has a beautiful voice.
Jessica, she is the clingyest little girl ever...I dont think she has ever gotten love.
Anna Julia is determined to leave the orphanage, she is not very happy.
Kimberly gives many many many hugs and kisses. To the extreme where it hurts.
So, that is the girls.
I love them so much!!!!

I Love Monkeys!
The team left on Wednesday last week and I moved into Wallie and Esther Weibes house. It was very beautiful. They have four children...they are all very cute and very loud. They have to be on their way to school by 6:45am. That's pretty early if you ask me.
Yesterday I went to a church service way out in the middle of no where. It was a very good experience...very very very different than any other Church I have been in.
Yesterday was also one of the most exciting days of my life...if you don't know and want to...ask Krista! Yay! I am so excited!
I saw lots of monkeys yesterday. I love monkeys!
Other than that I have been filling my days hanging out with the girls at CINAG, watching Spanish TV, learning a little Spanish and reading.

An Update
Last week was spent working. We painted so much. Today we painted almost an entire school, inside and out! Good thing it was only one room =)
On friday we went back to the ocean, I love the ocean! Saturday we visited a potter and a beautiful campground. Sunday I saw my first volcano close up. It was pretty stinky. And there was so much smoke we couldnt really see anything. I hope next time we go it will be clearer. The group sang a special number in church to...it was defiantly special!!!
I almost got hit by one of those tiny taxi on the way to the interent. That was pretty exciting. Last night there was a guy with a gun. Always an adventure!
Today half of our team got sick. We havent figured out from what but they are getting better. The people that got sick were the people that got needles. I didnt get any and Im fine...but maybe I will eat my words later.
School starts tomorrow here.

The Good and the Bad
My Spanish is getting better and better and after 5 more weeks Ill be fluent!
Showers are all cold and hydro is out often.
People are very friendly here and the food is right up there with Mennonite meals! and the jusice....the juice beats all!
Not everthing is perfect though. One of the workers, Charles Brandt, fell off the roof and is in the hospital. He is doing okay but has a hairline fracture on a vertabrae and a seperation between two other vertabraes. It would be awesome if you could pray for him and his wife Luella. One of the girls became a Christian because of this so that is reason to praise God through this.
Okay...Im off the sleep...I have to wake up early tomorrow. We are having breakfast at 6 or 6:30am!!!!
